HELP FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT

The best of human being still remain human and there is no way flesh can give birth to the things of the Spirit. Flesh will give birth to flesh and the Holy Spirit will give birth to the things of the Spirit. The Executive Arm of God is the Holy Spirit and it is the Holy Spirit that is carrying out all the creative and supernatural work of God in the world. When man fell, the Spirit of grace and power in man departed and men became corrupt. That is why for men to be taken back to the Spirit realm of the Living God, he has to born of the Spirit. The whole life of Christians or what make everyone who are born again and has constant relationship with God is the Holy Spirit. With Him, we can do nothing that is where the whole spiritual life boils down to.

The Holy spirit do a lot of works in man, He saves us, heals us , delivers us, helps us to preach the gospel with boldness, helps us to be heavenly minded, helps to overcome obstacles and challenges in our journey to heaven, helps to pray aright, helps to discern the mind of God, helps to discern the spirits in these days of manifestations of seducing and lying spirits, He strengthens and energizes us beyond our limits, He inspires us to the deep things of God, He comforts, edifies and exhorts us. In short, the Holy Spirit does all the works of God through us and equally helps in our day to day activities. Let just see some instances.

The whole works men had ever did and are doing for God was as a result of the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. Think about Samson conflicts with lion and the enemies of his people, he conquered them all through the help of the Holy Spirit that came upon him constantly.

And THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD BEGAN TO MOVE HIM AT TIMES IN THE CAMP of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol (Judges 13:25).

Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath:  and, behold, a young lion roared against him. And THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME MIGHTILY UPON HIM, AND HE RENT HIM AS HE WOULD HAVE RENT A KID, and he had nothing in his hand:  but he told not his father or his mother what he had done (Judges 13:5-6).

And THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME UPON HIM, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle.   And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house (Judges 13:25).

Samson was a special vessel prepared by the Lord for Himself to use as occasion demanded. When he fulfilled the terms and condition of his consecration as it was given to his parent, the Presence of God was mightily with him. God who was with him anointed him constantly as the need arisen. He was an ordinary man without the Spirit of God just as any other men, but the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit marked him out and empowered him like formidable army. Until he broke the term of his consecration and the Presence of God who was anointing him departed, he never knew that he was just an ordinary. The Holy Spirit is the strengths of our lives as believers. It was the Holy Spirit who helped him or worked through him to fight the Lord’s battle.

Now we have the Holy Spirit abiding in us as believers if we meet the terms and conditions of His abiding in us. It is the Holy Spirit who born us into the kingdom of God and make us partakers of the life of Christ. We are the one who will open us our life to him through obedience and faith in the Christ.

IF YE LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. AND I WILL PRAY THE FATHER, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU ANOTHER COMFORTER, THAT HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER; EVEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH;  whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;  for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:15-17).
THE God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.    And we are his witnesses of these things; and SO IS ALSO THE HOLY GHOST, WHOM GOD HATH GIVEN TO THEM THAT OBEY HIM (Acts 5:30-32).

Obedience to God is the prerequisite for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Once you are willing to obey the Lord in all totality, the Lord will send His Holy Spirit into your heart so that He will make it easier for you to do the will of God in all its totality. We are saved from sin by our absolute obedience to the Word of God, when we are ready to believe the redemptive works of Christ without demur and fully follow Him without reservation in our heart. God will sanctify us and make us holy to do all His holy will. There is nothing helps us to live holy like the Holy Spirit because He impart the nature of God within us and sanctify our spirits, souls and bodies. He cleanses and renew our spirits daily as we fellowship with Him. He will reveal the truth of the Word of God to us and impart the faith to believe them so that He can make them real and concrete in our life. The Holy Spirit is the Life Wire of every believer. We cannot do anything right by ourselves without the help of the Holy Spirit. He reveals the deep things of God to us and empowers us to lay hold on them in prayers.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. BUT GOD HATH REVEALED THEM UNTO US BY HIS SPIRIT:  FOR THE SPIRIT SEARCHETH ALL THINGS, YEA, THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?  Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. NOW WE HAVE RECEIVED, NOT THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD, BUT THE SPIRIT WHICH IS OF GOD; THAT WE MIGHT KNOW THE THINGS THAT ARE FREELY GIVEN TO US OF GOD (1 Corinthians 2:9-12).
The good news is the Holy Spirit can do all things that we desire Him to do for us. There are millions testimonies of the works of the Holy Spirit in churches in saving the wretched and addicted sinners, criminals, making many of them the heirs of Christ. He breaks the power of addictions, destroy evil desires in man, plant the nature of God in the old wretched sinners and make them to look as if they have never sin before. There are many healings and miracles and deliverances the Holy Spirit has wrought and that He is doing till date, the creative works of God. Our faith in God and in His Word commits the Holy Spirit to perform the works in our lives and the one we are asking for others. The Holy Spirit is the source of our strength. We can only pray aright as the Holy Spirit helps us to tailor our prayers right. He knows what we don’t know and He knows the blessings ahead that we cannot see which He will help to grab, He the right person to preach to and where. He knows the right Word for every man. The Holy Spirit knows the danger ahead and how can avert or avoid it. That is why our relationship and fellowshipping with Him must be on the daily basis so that we will continue to partake of His help continually.
